Let’s work together to connect the dots of your story.

I have seen how the powerful process of psychotherapy helps people cope with life’s challenges and find inner strength. Therapy reduces the symptoms of depression, suffering and anxiety and promotes well being and resilience. Additionally it helps improve attuned communication and understanding in relationships. Effective psychotherapy elicits change and guides people toward living more authentically. I realize that people often seek help at their most vulnerable times. I am aware of this as I guide my clients toward a better understanding of themselves and their inner world, thereby allowing for emotional growth, peace and the attainment of personal goals.

My current practice includes a variety of clientele including adult individuals struggling with depression, anxiety and relationship difficulties. I also work with couples, adolescents and children. I have special expertise in working with members of the adoption and foster care community: adoptees, (children, adolescents and adults), adoptive parents, waiting parents, birth/first parents and adoptive families. Additionally I have extensive Crisis Response experience working alongside police fire and sheriffs personnel as a second responder. This work has further deepened my knowledge and ability to help those suffering from complex grief, loss and trauma.

Therapy is a unique collaboration between the therapist and client(s). I work from a relational framework utilizing attachment theory, EMDR, Brainspotting, interpersonal neurobiology and mindfulness practices in my work with clients. I consider how individuals are affected by their environments, past and present experiences, and the interplay between mind and body. I am committed to nurturing a trusting relationship in my practice where clients can feel safe to explore their thoughts and feelings thereby achieving a deeper sense of self-knowing and live an integrated and balanced life.
